Awards to 75 women achievers for contribution in Sashakt Aur Samarth Bharat

NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform will confer to seventy five women in its fifth edition of the Women Transforming India Awards on tomorrow.

The Aayog said that as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence, the Awards will be conferred on seventy five women achievers to celebrate their contribution towards a Sashakt Aur Samarth Bharat.

The Aayog said that the awards will be given by an equally exceptional group of women including former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi, former Assistant Secretary-General of United Nation Lakshmi Puri, former Chairperson of State Bank of India Arundhati Bhattacharya and many more.

NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant and Senior officers of the Aayog including singer Kailash Kher will be present at the event.

The Women Transforming India Awards is NITI Aayog’s annual initiative to highlight the commendable and ground-breaking endeavours of India’s women leaders and change-makers.
