All feel proud when the youth of country is innovating and taking the nation forward : PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi said programmes and initiatives like Startup India, StandUp India, Digital India and Make in India are all led by young people and will take the country to newer heights. He said, all feel proud when the youth of country is innovating and taking the nation forward. Interacting with the recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP), Mr. Modi said this award also comes with a huge responsibility.

The Prime Minister said in areas where daughters were not even allowed earlier, daughters are doing wonders in them today. This is the new India, which does not hold back from innovating, courage and determination are the hallmarks of India today.

Prime Minister urged all young people to come forward and make vocal for local a success. Mr Modi gave a lot of credit for the success of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to the children of the country. He said by becoming Bal Sainik, they have inspired their family towards Cleanliness.

Prime Minister said the country is currently celebrating 75 years of its independence and all those received this award in this important period for their extraordinary achievements in various fields. Mr. Modi said all feel proud seeing the CEOs of all the big companies of the world are young Indians.

Prime Minister also conferred digital certificates to Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) awardees for the years 2022 and 2021 using blockchain technology, via video conferencing.

The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is given to children above the age of five and not exceeding the age of 15 with exceptional abilities and outstanding achievement in fields of innovation, sports, arts and culture, social service, scholastic achievements, and bravery.

On this day Prime Minister cited examples of the bravery and sacrifice of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He pointed out that the Sahibzadas had sacrificed themselves with immense valour at a very young age. Their sacrifice for India’s civilization, culture, faith and religion is incomparable. The Prime Minister asked the youngsters to know more about the Sahibzadas and their sacrifice.

Such children are handed over a cash prize of one lakh rupees, a medal, and a certificate. The awardees will also take part in the Republic Day parade on Wednesday.
