Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the demise of former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe.
In a series of tweets today, Mr. Modi said, he is shocked and saddened beyond words at the tragic demise of one of his dearest friends Shinzo Abe.
He said, Mr. Abe made an immense contribution to elevating India-Japan relations to the level of a special strategic and global partnership. Government has decided to observe one day State Mourning tomorrow throughout the country as a mark of respect for former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. He passed away today.
Union Home Ministry said, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast on the day of mourning on all buildings where the National Flag is flown regularly.
There will be no official entertainment tomorrow.
