Nigeria have booked its place in the semi finals of the FIFA under 17 Women’s World Cup. They defeated USA 4-3 in penalty shootout in the first quarter finals at D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai today.
The two teams were 1-1 after full time of play. USA topped Group A by beating India and Moracco. On the other hand, Nigeria came from Group B after defeating Newzealand and Chile.
Group B topper Germany and Group A runner-up Brazil will meet in the second quarter finals in a short while from now.
