Three liquor mafia caught by Hardoi police with liquor manufacturing equipments

Hardoi– Three liquor mafia caught by Hardoi Police in an operation by police force of Kachhauna Kotwali along with the excise department team. A significant quantity of fake country-made liquor, counterfeit bar codes, fake caps, alcohol, and a motorcycle were seized from their possession. The three arrested liquor mafias have been booked under various criminal sections and they have been sent to jail.

On Friday late evening, an informant informed Excise Inspector Girish Kumar that a person on a motorcycle was transporting illegal country-made liquor from Kachhauna to Sandila. He also told that swift action could lead to his capture. Acting on this information, the joint team of Kachhauna police, Sub-Inspector Abrar Hussain, Head Constable Suraj Kumar, and Excise Inspector, set up a stakeout near the small bridge at Sujanpur turn. After some time, a bike was spotted. The joint team signaled the biker to stop, but upon seeing the police, both riders attempted to flee. However, the team managed to surround and apprehend both bike riders.

The apprehended individuals identified themselves as Abhishek Singh alias Satyam Singh of village Paira and the other identified himself as Suresh Raidas villager of Paira, Kotwali Kachhauna, Hardoi. Upon checking the box on the bike, a crate of illegal liquor was found, labeled with “Windies Brand Radico Khaitan Limited.” A total of 45 quarters (200 ml each) of fake Windies Brand, plastic bottles, fake bar codes (105 pieces), fake caps (55 pieces), approximately 4 liters of alcohol and a motorcycle with registration number UP30 EX 2438 were seized.

Abhishek Singh alias Satyam Singh, who was caught, revealed during interrogation that he had been procuring fake liquor from Dhirendra Singh. Following the lead, the joint team proceeded towards Dhirendra Singh’s village, Nirmalpur, and intercepted him. During the search, a plastic crate containing 130 quarters of illegal local liquor in plastic bottles of Windies Brand, a plastic bag with 105 pieces of fake bar codes, 55 pieces of fake caps, approximately 4 liters of alcohol in a pipe. Dhirendra Singh admitted during interrogation that Rahul Gupta, son of an unknown resident at Kahali, Kasimpur police station provided him with all the materials for making fake liquor. Rahul Gupta currently resides in a rented house in Lucknow. With the illegal country-made liquor and manufacturing materials in their possession, all three liquor mafias have been charged under sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 272 IPC, and section 60E of the Excise Act, along with legal action under section 51 of the Copyright Act. This operation has caused a stir in the liquor mafia.
