Former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala was sentenced to four years in jail in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case against him.
The order was pronounced by Delhi’s Rouse Avenue District Court. The court imposed a fine of Rs 50 lakh on the INLD chief and also ordered the authorities to confiscate his four properties.
The CBI had filed the case in 2005, and a charge sheet was filed on 26th March, 2010, accusing him of amassing assets disproportionate to his legitimate income, between 1993 and 2006.
