Indian Women’s hockey team defeated Malaysia from 4-0

Indian Women’s hockey team defeated Malaysia 4-0 in their last pool D match of the FIH Women’s Junior World Cup at Potchefstroom, South Africa.

That’s the end of the group stage for India, who win three from three and confirm a spot against South Korea in the quarterfinal. The 4-0 win over Malaysia had a brace from Mumtaz Khan, on either side of goals from Sangita Kumari and Lalrindiki.

Earlier, India outplayed Germany 2-1 and in their first pool D match on Saturday, India defeated Wales 5-1. The Indians are currently atop Pool D with three wins from as many games. The quarterfinals round will start from Friday.
