Public Accounts Committee of Parliament has completed its 100 years

Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament has completed its 100 years this year. Speaking at the centennial year celebration of the PAC today, President Ram Nath Kovind said that the Public Accounts Committee upholds prudence, wisdom and propriety in Parliamentary system. Mr Kovind said, Mahatma Gandhi considered account keeping is essential for clean public life.  

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu said, PAC reports always strive improvement in the system.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, this is one of the most important Committees of Parliament and complimented the PAC members for their dedication to the cause.

PAC Chairman Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, the PAC is committed to uphold transparency and accountability of the government money.
