National Voluntary Blood Donation Day is celebrated in India on the 1st of October every year to share the need and importance of blood in the life of an individual. It started on the 1st October 1975 by the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology.

On this day HEROES, IGNOTUM is revealing the first Category of blood donors who do a major job on a day to donate blood to save the lives of the people in the country. We have some unsung heroes from different fields but they Donate blood to save lives.

Introducing Capt. S. M. Naqvi, who has donated Blood 119 times from Prayagaraj and became a centurion blood donor of Uttar Pradesh.

Also Amit Banerjee Sir, a social worker who is blood donor 86 times, Ashish Kumar Mishra Police officer, Ramesh Thakur Para Olympian Marathon runner, Mr. Pawan Kumar Sharma UP first Paralympic Table Tennis Player, Vishvesh Bharatiya a film director and a social worker. Belonging to the different fields and they Donate blood .

In the world, many countries have succeeded in making artificial bodies to replace, but one thing which no one has succeeded yet is Blood, which is a gift of God, given to every human. We should Donate it and save a life in this society. Some parents are not aware of it do not permit their children to Donate blood but we should try our best.

The age of blood donors should be between 18 – 60 years, weight 45 kg or above, pulse rate range 60 to 100/ minute, BP normal, Hb 12.5gm/100ml and body temperature should not exceed 37.5 degrees centigrade.

Heroes Ignotum is also trying to spread awareness to Donate blood. There are so many youths who have done a great job. We should also go for it. Centurion blood donor is an Inspiration for youth who donated blood 119 times.

Voluntary organizations of the country are spending their valuable time and using their resources to encourage the students/youths, colleges, institutions, clubs and NGOs to spread awareness for the same. Let us join our hands to this good cause to save A Life.
