Children’s Day was earlier celebrated universally on November 20, however, after Nehru’s death in 1964, it was decided that Children’s Day or popularly known as Bal Diwas be celebrated on his birth anniversary, November 14.
Mr. Naidu said that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru will always be remembered for his contribution toward building a modern India.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has paid tributes to the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said :
