Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana has significantly reduced patients’ out-of-pocket expenditure.The scheme was launched in 2008 to provide quality medicines at affordable prices.
It has helped in savings of 18 thousand crore rupees for the citizens in the last 8 years. In a tweet, Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said, government is committed to ensuring good quality and affordable healthcare for all.
