Raghavendra Kumar Tripathi ‘Raghav’ :
The Yogi government is providing free training to the youth of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe for civil and another examinations with the aim of increasing the representation of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates in civil services and other state level services.
For this, 7 centers are being operated at different places across the state. In the last 4 years, about 4 thousand candidates have been benefited from these centers. From the very beginning the State Government has shown special sensitivity towards the backward sections of the society. Government is working with his moto “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas”. Seven pre-examination training centers have been set up by the state government for training; to increase participation of eligible Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and backward class youths and girls in civil services and other state level services. Out of these, two training centers are being operated in Lucknow and one center in Allahabad, Varanasi, Aligarh, Agra and Hapur. All these centers combined have the capacity to train a maximum of 1200 people at a time.
Thus, total 3963 candidates have taken benefit of training at these centers at the cost of Rs.1858.74 lakh from the year 2017-18 to the year 2021-22. Hundreds of its candidates have been successful in various central and state level services.
During the financial year 2020-21, when the corona infection was at a high level, the government showed its sensitivity towards the unemployed. During this, the candidates prepared for online mock interviews who were preparing for civil services. As a result, in 2020-21, a total of 81 candidates got success in the UPSSSC Examination and Assistant Conservator Forest/Regional Forest Officer examination.
Success of scheme ‘Pre-Examination Training’ proves; how government committed for the inclusion of disadvantaged sections in government services. Certainly such schemes are fulfilling the dreams of the unemployed from the deprived sections and also their families are getting special assistance from these type schemes.
