Are we doing the process right or we also stuck in the various myths roaming around the air? Men and women need different amounts of body fat. For a men 2-5% fat is essential while 2-24% fat considered healthy and for women 10-13% body fat is essential while 10-31% is considered healthy. The best way to measure body fat involves using specialized equipment. The doctor can use fat calipers to calculate the fat percentage in a specific area of the body. Myth 1- If you want to loose weight cut down all fats-
All types of fats we consume in our diets are not bad for health. Remember their are two categories of fat one is trans saturated fat and other is monounsaturated fat while trans saturated fat can have unhealthy effects like raising cholesterol but the healthy dietary fat actually have several benefit Consuming good fats in moderation can improve heart health and help your body absorb Vitamin A,D,E and K monounsaturated fat can also reduce inflammation,boost memory and even promote healthy pregnencies
Myth 2- A low fat diet is the best way to loose weight-

This is one of the biggest misconception flying around the people who is desperate to lose weight because according to many doctors and specialists in the field always mention the importance of fat and says that “Fat is essential part of balanced diet” while limiting your intake of bad fats is important, you should still eat “good” fats in moderation to fuel your body and help it carry out necessary functions. Similar to carbohydrates and proteins polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats provides energy for your body. Additionally they allow your body regulate temperature, hormones, immune system, reproduction and many more. Since you all know hypothermia and hyperthermia can cause you your life.
Myth 4- All fat free foods are healthy-
Fat free food may be high in sugar, refined carbs, and calories- all of which negativity affect your body if you are trying to lose weight.
Before buying fat free snacks, check the label and it’s ingredients to make sure the lack of fat isn’t replaced with another unhealthy elements like refined carbs and other things
Myth 5- Eating fat will always cause weight gain-
When it comes to weight lose, dietary fat isn’t equal to body fat and many studies in medical journals have shown people with moderate or high fat diets lose weight just as well, if not better then, those with low fat diets. While fatty food have higher caloric content per gram then others and should be consumed in moderation they aren’t more likely to become body fat then proteins or carbs. Any excess calories will cause weight gain whether its a protein aur fats. Healthy high fat foods on other hand, can feel more satisfying after a meal, curbing your appetite.
